The specification text is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-ND 4.0). The code, YAML and Cypher samples remain under the Apache License 2.0, so you can copy and adapt them freely.

Authoring realms, and building software that uses them, is free — publicly, privately or commercially, without permission, notification or royalty. Realms you author are yours and are not derivative works of this document.

Implementing these specifications in a competing engine or platform is a different matter — that is not licensed here and requires a separate written agreement with Embabel. All rights other than those in the specification text are reserved, no patent licence is granted or implied, and compatibility or conformance claims using the “Embabel” or “Virtual Cypher” marks require our written permission.

The Me host also accepts authenticated external source events under the same captured source approval and durable receipt contract.

The Me captured host excludes legacy Realm StepSpecs and MCP subprocess registrations. Use captured handlers and their versioned surface bindings; see the migration contract.

Me host SQL readers and learning use approved owner targets. Legacy datasource YAML does not authorize a connection. The current profile is read-only; SQL remains behind Virtual Cypher and typed host operations, outside the guest protocol.
